Re. xdm crash



In response to my problem, I received the following.

Are you typing the error message or copying it?
There is no '/temp/.X11-unix' in the standard filesystem. There *is*
/tmp. Maybe bad permissions:
drwxrwxrwx 12 root root 3072 Oct 10 19:41 /tmp

This is an exact copy of the error message. There are no permission problems with /tmp for I used it. I also have created the directory /temp but with nothing in it. I use it for temporary storage.
