Re: DHCP over cable

I use shaw@home as well,
When I did my Debian install, the network config part
asked if I wanted a static or dynamic IP. I said dynamic
and it worked fine.
I believe at this point, pump gets installed. I don't know for sure.
Anyway, My /etc/network/interfaces looks like this:
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp
I would guess you need to install pump.
