	Which CRC error is that? I can only imagine one place where it
	might have something related to a CRC error, and that is
	related to UDMA being enabled by the kernel (or by hdparm) and
	not using a cable certified for UDMA/66 mode (which should be
	an 80-connectors cable) or a flaky hard drive.

	**If** that is indeed the case, your problems should go away
	if you use UDMA/33 or below or don't use UDMA at all, but I'd
	advise you to research this further and perhaps even enter in
	contact with the supplier of your computer.

	Of course, the exact text of the messages would help a lot and
	avoid guessing and making conjectures.
