X and -nolisten tcp

I have the following in /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc:

exec /usr/bin/X11/X -dpi 100 -nolisten tcp

When I run nmap, I get this for X:

6000/tcp open X11

Is that unusual? I had thought since I specified nolisten the tcp port would not be open. Also, how can I check to be sure it is not listening? I have only ever used X forwarding via ssh, so I don't know how to try it another way. I don't run a telnet server.

Thanks.
