I NEED REALLY FAST HELP

Hi everybody

I have a problem restoring dump made backups.

I have a onstream Streamer (tape) on my server. There is 2.2 kern with the 
path for ide-tape installed.
I use "mt" for navigating on the tape. Until now i used it only to make 
backups because never something happend. I then only used the commands
- mt -f /dev/nht0 eom
- "     "      "         eof
- "     "      "         rewind
that was done without any problems.

Now something on the filesystem was destroyed and i must restore it. I have 
to navigate on the tape 2 marks back. I enter
mt -f /dev/nht0 fsfm 2
and i get an imput/output error!

Its really important that i can do that. Can somebody help me? must i 
recompile mt with special onstram support?
