| Yes, samba works from xinetd but you must add a special flag for nmbd in
| xinetd.conf:

| nmbd once started never exits - only when crashed :)
Ok, thanks. I guess if nmbd wasn't being run properly then that would
explain why the 'doze boxen never saw the Debian box.
| smbd starts and exits nicely when is invoked form xinetd.
