if you mean root raid... that'd depend on the installer
	rh-7.1, suse-7.2, mandrake-8 can do root/raid
	( i tested rh-7.1 a few days ago...was surrpised it worked
	  for a change... thanx to mingo and crew i guess

i dont think hpt-370 would be ata100 only...that'd be ridiculous
piece of hardware ???
	kinda like a nic ard that is 1Gbps only...
	( but than again...that makes sense...

one way to find out... try it and see
