Did you by any chance had any better success with hand built samba 2.2.0?

Actually I am having the same problem:

Win9x machines login great.. everything works great, but when I try to log in
from the NT 4.0 wks I get an error saying the ser was disabled...

I have read the samba docs from the source package, searched over the samba
site, nowhere is anything mentioned on the topic... I have added the user
Administrator, the machine account also... but still that error. With the same
config and samba 2.0.7 it worked perfectly!
