As far as i can remember i did compile kernel support for my usb
mouse... and it works fine on the console and in X when plugged in to
the USB port. I still tried to get this to work on the PS/2 port as you
suggested...
cd /dev
rm mouse
ln -s psaux mouse
chmod 777 psaux
Removed gpm
dpkg -r gpm
XF86Config-4 pointer inputdevice is as follows
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
the mouse still flies around....
I tried as many configurations as i could think of....
mouse-->usbmouse
mouse-->psaux
Protocol IMPS/2
Protocol IntelliMouse
What am i missing out here.
Thanks
Mitul
