Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package koffice has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
However the following packages replace it:
  koffice-libs
E: Package koffice has no installation candidate

# lynx `dpkg -L koffice-libs | grep parts`
[snip]

In the example mentioned above, you would simply insert a part
into your document. Then, whenever you edit your table, would
take control in the background. Control would return to when
you stop working on the table and start working on text again.
The only change you would notice is that the toolbars and
menus, while editing the table, reflect the functionality of
instead of that of . This ability to include the functionality
of one application in another is called "embedding".

there seems to be a bunch of nouns missing there. how do i figure
out (where be the fligging manual) what command to issue to get
into spreadsheet (kspread) or wordprocessing (kword)?

or, did i screw things up beyond recognition already? (and if so,
how to unscrew?)
