Re: XFree86 4.0.2 in Debian

Hi Shaleh !

Perhaps you can help me understand some issues:

- In what package is the file ld-linux.so.2 packaged ?? Why do sometimes
this lib is a link and sometimes a file, may I assume it has to be with
versions ? I upgraded from potato to woody and lilo complained about
'version GLIBC_2.2' of it not found. I had the lib sent by mail and copied
to /lib and lilo run fine.

- Many people complains about problems with X when upgrading to woody. On
the other hand, I must assume that for most people it works fine, since it
is stable enough as to be in /testing. I had many problems and finally I
reinstalled potato.

- Does ld-linux.so.2 is important for the X system ? Is it possible that,
when I copied it to /lib and over the link it was previouly there (pointing
to ld-2.1.3 or something alike) it prevented the X system from installing
and working OK ??

Thanks in advance for your help.
