Cannot bring up lo.
Hello,
I have had this error for about 2 days....
I can't bring the loopback interface. If I type
'/etc/init.d/networking restart', I get:
Reconfiguring network interfaces: lo: unknown interface: Bad file descriptor
SIOCSIFADDR: Bad file descriptor
lo: unknown interface: Bad file descriptor
lo: unknown interface: Bad file descriptor
done.
'ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1' will give me
lo: unknown interface: Bad file descriptor
but 'ifconfig' reports eth0 correctly.
So I don't know what's wrong...
Is this a /dev/xxx screwed up, is this a kernel config pb, is this a
/etc config pb ??
Any suggestion appreciated.
Thank you,
Matthieu
