While my esd is still working, sound from it has suddenly become very
crap, all choppy and distorted. I think this happened about the time I
upgraded to 2.4/X4/testing (all at once, so I don't know what did it).

Playing sound without esd is still fine. I've got xmms on the oss output
plugin, and am still enjoying my mp3 collection.

So while I haven't added anything constructive to the thread, I'll `me
too' on the presence of problems!
