IBM Apiva 2144-m51 and the mwave card

I was reading the incmpatibility list and saw that the mwave card needs
to have it firmware loaded before it will work.  Does anyone know if
this card has drivers that work if it the firmware is loaded and what it
takes to load it.

I am planning on procuring Debian 2.2 and loading it on my Aptiva and
can live without the modem and sound but it would be fun to have it.
