Re: Why is it so hard to connect to ISP in Debian 2.0?



if your having so many problems i suggest not using the builtin dialer
features of debian 2.0. there are plenty GUI based dialers(Xisp and kppp
both i have worked with seem to work quite well) try them out ..although
since debian 2.0 is quite old there may not be debs available you might
have to compile from source.

when i first started using linux(1996) it wasn't easy either..so i used
xisp.

it also helps to have a unix friendly ISP. i always interrogate the ISPs
before i use them. if they don't qualify i don't use em. even if it
means paying 2x or more for another service..
