Hrm. A few months ago I  bought a "custom" computer from the shop down
the street  ("Hi, I'd like  to buy a  computer" "What kind?"  "A grey
one" "OK, how much memory would you like" and so on) and they didn't charge
me for any microsoft problems I mean programs. I suspected 
they would install win98 anyway but true to their word, they didn't.
