Post copies of /etc/chatscripts/provider, /etc/ppp/peers/provider,
/etc/ppp/pap-secrets, /etc/ppp/chap-secrets (munge passwords) and the
_complete_ output of plog.
My first guess is that you are using the wrong type of authentication.
