woody dist-upgrade lost printer or spooler

Hi All:

This is my second instance of the woody upgrade. The first time worked without
a hitch. Included KDE2.

Now get 2 messages from 'printtool'
This message displayed when program opens:

Enscript does not appear to be installed.

This occurs when selecting a printer in Configure Filter screen:

bad listbox index "": must be active, anchor, end, @x,y, or a number
    while executing
".sf.f6.list get $colindex"
    (procedure "LOCAL_select_filter" line 466)
    invoked from within
"LOCAL_select_filter .e.v10"
    invoked from within
".e.autofilter invoke"
    ("uplevel" body line 1)
    invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
    (procedure "tkButtonUp" line 7)
    invoked from within
"tkButtonUp .e.autofilter
"
    (command bound to event)

lpc status reports
  queuing is enabled
  printing is enabled
  no entries
  printer idle

lpc up all reports
  printing enabled
  daemon started

The printer output from Netscape or Konqueror is
  "No spool file found"

Any ideas out there?

thanks,
Bill Barnes
