Absolutely! For the time being, you can remove the constant one. But
it would still be nice to merge them.

The differences are sufficiently minor for this not to be a real
issue. (Just have a suitable note "for diaspora Orthodoxy" where
relevant.)
Would you like me to work on merging the two versions?
