Problems with duplicate sendmail.cf entries

I'm having a problem getting duplicate sendmail.cf entries when running
sendmailconfig.

I've defined the following lines at the end of my sendmail.mc:

# privacy flags
O PrivacyOptions=goaway

These lines are below the "## Custom configurations below (will be
preserved)" entry, which is where I would think they should be.

Unfortunately whenever I run sendmailconfig and tell it to use my existing
sendmail.mc I end up with two sets of "O PrivacyOptions" lines in my
sendmail.cf, one includes my "goaway" option from my sendmail.mc and the
other includes an "auth-warnings" entry (this other entry isn't listed
anywhere in my .mc and I can't figure where it's being pulled from).

Any assistance would be appreciated.
