VT1 root-Deb-Slink:~# dpkg -S libdb
libc6: /lib/libdb-2.0.7.so
libc6-dev: /usr/lib/libdb.a
libdb2: /usr/lib/libdb2.so.2
libdbd-mysql-perl: /usr/doc/libdbd-mysql-perl/README.gz
libdbi-perl: /usr/doc/libdbi-perl/changelog.Debian.gz
libdb2: /usr/lib/libdb2.so.2.4.14
libdb2: /usr/doc/libdb2/copyright
libdbi-perl: /usr/doc/libdbi-perl/copyright
libc6: /lib/libdb.so.2
[snip rest]
As you can see, libdb, in Slink, is .2 not .3. Looks like
you will have to upgrade to Potato to get libdb-3.

The Softwære said "Windows 95 or better", so I dumped Win95 & loaded LINUX.
I have not looked back since.
