bug of pppconfig or dpkg

Hi,
	Can anyone help me with this:

virge:/home/s2193893# dpkg --purge pppconfig
(Reading database ... 35444 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing pppconfig ...
dpkg (subprocess): unable to execute pre-removal script: Exec format
error

	And this one: I have raised a bug, but it has been a month
now...
