Is potatoe's exim 3.12-1 OK?

Hi,
The problem may be with my ISP, but I keep
getting:

SMTP timeout while connected to
smtp.student.unsw.edu.au [xxxxxx] after
end of data (3531 bytes written)

Is any one else having a similar problem?
I have frozen messages and an unusual number of
exim processes sticking around (4).

Exim seems to be delivering at my end after
fetchmail runs.

I just wanted to thank people that replied to my
other post re:X
