FTP upload problem

	I'm running potato.  I'm trying to upload a file to my home area on
my ISP's system.  I've also tried the same thing on another site that
allows ftp uploads.  The upload process starts and transfers the data,
but hangs at the end.  In mc's ftp mode the program returns the
error:  "failed to close target file".  The standard command line ftp
and gui wxftp both fail, but neither one gives an error message.
	Since this happens on more than one site, I'm assuming something
isn't setup right on my machine, but I don't have a clue.  :-(
