In my case, and I assume likewise with you, the problem was that it was
conflicting with librep2 (or at least one file in particular was
conflicting). I got around the problem by first removing librep2, rep and
sawmill (I beleive those were the only ones I had to remove), then running
'apt-get install sawmill'. This seemed to solve the problem for me, and
I'm running sawmill 0.18 right now, no problems encountered at this
point...
