Re: Error messages using Iomega ZIP

I use an Iomega ZIP 100 as a backup. I find that I frequently get
cryptic error messages of various kinds while copying stuff to it.
Is anyone else using this same system, and do they find something
similar?
I use an IOMEGA Zip-100 under linux also. I have not seen any
error messages like you describe. If you post one of the error
messages, I would be curious to see it, and perhaps someone could
elaborate on its meaning.
I use the "newer" parallel port version, along with the IMM package.
I have not had any problems at all, except if I try to mount the
disk before "insmod imm", any subsequent "insmod imm" will seg
fault, and I must reboot before I can use the Zip drive.
I do not consider this a major problem as I always remember to
insert the module before mounting.
All in all I couldn't be much happier with the my results.
