Check the archives of this list, this has been discussed before.
Supposedly adding "keep" to the top of modules.conf fixes it, but that's
been done by the maintainer and people are still getting this message.
"depmod -a" will fix it in the short term.

Let me guess: you either have a serial mouse (which doesn't use psaux) or
you have it compiled into the kernel instead of as a module.
Edit /etc/modules and comment out the line, as well as the lines for any
other modules you don't want loaded on boot.
