Re: Root password



Here  is how you do it:
reboot and at lilo prompt type 
linux init=/bin/sh

This will rop you into shell. In there, 
mount -n -o remount rw

Then edit the /etc/passwd file and blank out root password field. (The
second field). Or do that to shadow file, if you have one.
Then 
sync
and reboot. You should be able to get in without password so you can
change it then
