Take a look at http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/
it's a site with a bunch of info for running linux on laptops. I 
don't have one ( :( ) but I keep this page bookmarked for when I do.

Just scroll down the page until you fine the IBM section. There are
a bunch of links for the 560.
