I am trying to load Debian from the Hardrive on a laptop.

The Laptop is a Dell XPi 90 ST . When i start the installation,

the computer keeps rebooting. I have tried entering the geometry

of my harddrive but the installtion never starts. I keep getting the boot prompt.

 

This is what i have been typing at the prompt.

 

"rescue root=786,32,63"

 

is this the proper syntacs .
