hard drive error

I want to be able to catch hard drive errors and email the administrator
about the errors.  Below is a sample message from the console:

hda: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
ide0: reset: success

Of course, all errors aren't reported the same; I want all information
concerning the hard drive devices and ide channels.

Can anyone help?
