Check out the SANE project at http://www.mostang.com/sane/ for
scanner information. Right now, I have an HP ScanJet 6200c.
Unfortunately, I'd need a SCSI card for it to work under Linux
since USB support is in the early stages of development.

AFAIK, a TV-tuner card brings video into the computer; there are
some drivers for various brands in the kernel. I don't know anything
about video cards with tv-out; my only experience is in the Windows
world.

Do you mean USB support? Check http://www.linuxhq.com for info; I
think it is gradually coming into the 2.3.x series of kernels.
