Last time I went to the Loki home page, http://www.lokisoft.com, there was a
news item there about them working on a free MPEG library for Linux, called
SMPEG or something. But from what they said about CPU requirements, I got
the impression it was less efficient than MpegTV (which is very smooth, on
my system at least).
