Hi all. I use Emacs/MULE and write the following document: HallryLowicz where (this is the important bit!) the L of this iso-latin-1 email is actually the Polish l (l with a bar through it). Then I save it in the encoding "emacs-mule". According to less in an iso-latin-1 terminal the file looks like: Hall<82>ry<82>owicz Question: Can anyone clue me how to write a small script to remove the "<82>" characters from the file? (The point is to then feed it to LaTeX and \inputencoding.) Many thanks in advance, Stefan
