The reason Debian doesn't distribute Pine debs is not because it's
non-gpl.  It's because the license forbids distribution of modified
binaries.  If you've applied the debian diff patches to the source before
you made the .debs then you're violating the Pine license agreement.  If
you haven't modified the sources, then you're OK with the pine license,
but your .deb probably doesn't follow the Debian guidlines.
