Help with on-board sound chip
I am having trouble tryimng to get sound card installed on my home PC with
an onboard sound card. Windows reports that it is ES1938 with PCI IO BASE
D400. 'lspci' gives the following response
00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: ESS Technology: Unknown device 1969
The card works in Windoze. I tried calling ES1370 in 2.2.1 kernel but that
did not help. Any help from anyone who has experience in this area. I am
using PII 333 with onboard everything.
