Off topic - more assembler
Sorry again for the off topic post - I'm almost ready to tear my hair out !
I am trying to learn x86 assembler under Debian but when I compiled a
couple of simple lines as in-line code using GCC the programme compiled but
gave a segment violation error at execution.
Tried to compile as pure asm source (which is what I want at the moment)
but NASM only generates an object file and I don't know if I need to link
other files.
What I am looking for, I think, is a good web reference for beginners or a
good book. Any Linux specific recommendations please ?

You may have heard it about me \\\ X I H I N I A N U T H T L L N
It may even be true /// I K E T A E R D D W S E I E .
But unless it says I'm really good ||
There's no way I'm going to admit to you ||
