If you haven't already subscribed, send an email to
debian-user-request@lists.debian.org with the subject line saying "subscribe".
Alternatively, I believe you can just go to
http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/subscribe and just click on the list you want to
subscribe to.

If your PC is capable of booting off the CD-ROM, just turn that feature on in the BIOS
and reboot. The install routine should start up for you automatically.

If not, start your computer in MS-DOS Mode (or Command Prompt Only mode) and run the
install.bat on the CD.

Both of these methods will avoid the need for the diskettes.

Then if you still get a restart during the install, let us know.
