Oops, i never even bothered checking out the binary. Since i got
burned a few times with trustfully downloading binaries from unstable
for installation in stable i've developed a habit of only fetching the
sources to compile them myself. It's easy with Debian anyway. ;-)
BTW, the current tmview is a really great achievement and i'm very
happy that it's packaged for Debian. AFAIAC Debian has evolved into
the best LaTeX Linux platform of all distributions. With the tmview
package's dvisvga it is finally possible to decently preview one's DVI
files without the need of firing up X11. That's very good for older
machines who still can easily be used for true WYSIWYG word processing
more powerful than M$-Winword.
Yes, i consider LaTeX and the rleated programs the *only* true WYSIWYG
editing environment avalaible so far. Those commercial word processor
are more like WYSIALITWIMLLOP = "What You See Is At Least In Theory
What It Might Look Like On Paper". ;-)
