Re: Apache and CGI
There are many necessary things for CGI to work. First, you have to enable it for the
directory the cgi exists in. Also, you may have to add a handler if the CGI is in a
directory along with regular HTML files. Ordinarily the server is configured to only run
CGI scripts if they exist in /usr/lib/cgi-bin.
Now, when you say "when I put it in My HTML, nothing happens. it acts as though its not
there" what do you mean? What happens on the browser end. You get back nothing? Did you
look at the "Page Source" of what came back? Do you get a 404 error or some other error?
Do you get the plain text of your script? Have you looked at Apache's access and error
logs?
