I don't know why it's giving that error message, however I know that I
once had trouble with netscape. I would try to execute it and
absolutely nothing would happen. I dselected and removed it then
removed all references to it from my system with the following commands.
updatedb
rm -r `locate netscape`
Be carefull with that command however :)
After that I reinstalled it and everything worked fine.
You might try the same.
