There is a better way.
	From ftp.debian.org, grab the entire base archive (In this case, I
think it should be base1_6.tgz or base1_7.tgz). This is the master that
the floppies are split from.
	Additionally grab the pre-compiled linux kernel, loadlin, and the
rootdisk - root.bin. Grab FIPS to split a partition with.
	After you have made room for linux all you need to do is read the
loadlin manual -- those three other files are all you need to boot up and
install debian from a secondary partition.
