Re: How to share files with Win95 or NT



  This was suggested in another message --- but not clearly.

   You say you have a shared WIN95 box with a CD available.  I assume 
it is on the same side of the firewall as you -- meaning you would 
not have to go through your proxy server to *FTP* to that WIN95 
machine.

  So, get a FTP daemon for WIN95 (I suggest WAR-FTPD -- 100%free 
software) and set that up.  Make sure you set yourself up a user 
account on the new FTP server that has access to the CD-ROM as one of 
its directories.  Now use dselect in FTP mode (in house, direct -- 
not through the proxy server).
