It sucks, I am sorry but not all ET4000/w32 can do 16bpp in X. Mine does not. I bought a Matrox instead (-; One possible solution is to specify the complete chip/clock combo you have. Another is to try XSuSE. They make a version of XFree86 w/ extra Tseng drivers.
