Well, isn't this a classic example of a bad floppy disk?

I agree that the "Cannot allocate memory" error looks somewhat
strange, but it _could_ be memory on the floppydisk?

Anyway, I'd go for another floppy disk.


(Note that I don't trust the Linux floppy disk driver very much, it
seems to create more errors (read and write) than the DOS one. But then
I don't know for sure, as I don't know floppies very much, and DOS even
less).

Potentially offensive files, part 5: /dev/random.
`head -c 4 /dev/random` may print 4-letter words (once every approx 4e8 tries).
