Hallo Rob,
I am using ftape 3.04-beta with success with my Iomega Ditto 2Gb. The
final version is available. It should be at
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/kernel/tapes/
I do not know whether the debian version is up-to-date.
