Two networks no forwarding

Hello,
I want to have one computer connected to two networks, one public
(internet) and one private no valid numbers, but I don't want traffic
to be routed between the two. so I just build a kernel with the
appropreate drivers and set both ethernet cards and I am home free or
is there something that I'm missing?

Syd
