quick question/answer need.

Do to politics at work, I have been thrown into a mess a lab installation.
The Dean would like to have dual boot NT and a i386 unix variant. Linux
seems to be the only platform to support our hardware. I have no time to
research, only time to do... So I'm asking if Debian linux can do this
for me:

1. Use Authentication via NISplus to a Solaris 2.5.1 machine.
2. Mount an "application disk" from a Debian Linux fileserver.

I don't have much time, therefore no time to find, let alone RTFM.
Otherwise I would. All help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dennis

With a PC, I always felt limited by the software available. On Unix, I am
limited only by my knowledge.
