Magic filter setup....
Hi,
I as per a responce to my last question I installed magicfilter to allow
StarOffice to print on my arcayic(SP) Epson Lx-80 ... I also installed
and setup lprng since the documention refered to it often... Now my
question arises in that when I try to print something on the command line
#/root/personal/: lp <filename>
I get a list of info about the print job id and such ... then in the
syslog I get messages saying
...jane tcplog: printer conection attempt....
...jane tcplog: lpt1 out of paper ....
now when I ran magicfilterconfig I told it the printer was on /dev/lp0 so
I think thats set up right ... also the /etc/printcap file says that my
printer is on /dev/lp0 ... does anyone know what the problem is and or
how to fix it?
someone else sugested that I use apsfilter can someone give me the
pros/cons of the both ot them ?
TIA
