Right, so the answer is to make the current stable kernel a moving target? 
Look, I think the BEST bet is to tell folks in the BIGGEST POSSIBLE
LETTERS, do NOT use a development kernel unless you know EXACTLY what you
are doing.

Right I agree there, .31 was too long in coming.  Maybe that is the
biggest chunk of the problem.
